People skills is the key. Creative, innovative mindset and can-do spirit will be the cutting edge for hotels to survive in the extremely competitive hospitality industry. 

Passion, thinking skills, creativity, seeing possibilities in all situations, problem solving skills, people skills, communication skills, forward thinking, life Long learning, growth mindset, etc are all important soft/life skills for students to equip with for future ready. 

In class. I will need to give students more time to think, to process information gathered, to brainstorm ideas with peers, to articulate their thoughts, to build on each other's view points. More empowerment needs to be given to students in learning. 

To achieve this, some of the learning activities that I used to conduct in class will need to give way. Spoon feeding, helping students to think, too much scaffolding, etc may be helpful to them in preparing for exams. The hospitality industry is very competitive. The hotel needs to constantly upgrade to keep its customers. That's what we need to instil in our students too - to continually upgrade.
2. People are at the heart of what they do. Even though technology can replace some jobs, some things still need the human touch. This is the same for education.
