I guess the types of oppression in this book are violence, cultural silence and cultural imperialism Noah doesn't talk to his dad about being gay till the end. He also didnt tell anyone about him getting in a fight with his mum. Jude believed that she wished her mom's death and which almost made noad kill himself in the death machine.
