What nazis think of Jews and Slavs)<br><em><br></em><strong>What is Social Stratification?</strong><br>Social stratification is similar to ethnocentrism in the sense of a strict hierarchy of peoples, but it is different from ethnocentrism as the hierarchy is not built on racial and cultural lines, and could include economic class and gender.<br><br><strong>Examples of Social Stratification</strong><br>- Thinking poor people can't be rich and are poor because they don't work hard enough. (eg. What most rich Victorians think of their workers)<br>- Men think women can't work hard and are limited to the house. (eg. What men in paternalistic societies think of women)<br>- Caste systems in which people are assigned to a certain profession by their birth, and are treated worst than people in upper castes. (eg.
