The Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind (FSDB) offers a range of extracurricular programs that enhance student engagement and development. Activities include sports, performing arts, and clubs tailored to the interests of students, promoting social skills and teamwork. They have over 300 student-athletes per year and offer 8 separate performing arts programs. These programs are different from typical schools because they have amazing outreach, including a performance at the 2005 Super Bowl pre-game show with Alicia Keys. The school also provides opportunities for leadership and community service, helping students to build confidence and connections with peers.

Through response to intervention (RTI) strategies, teachers can adapt instruction and support to ensure all students receive the necessary resources to succeed.
