Scott Fitzgerald he uses music in his novel. The significance of using music is that it helps create a mood to that certain event in the novel. Jazz music used in the novel was new music that emerged in society during the 20s. The rhythm and tunes jazz music contained represented money,wealth, love and partying during the time in the 20s. In the 20s society had changed where being bad was the good. Jazz music represent the situation of the novel without having to say it. The music itself is able to explain what is happening. Music could also represent the mood or emotions of a person in the novel. This song is being played when Tom, Daisy, Nick are at Gatsby's party.  They are discussing how Gatsby gained his wealth. Tom is thinking that Gatsby earned his money from selling drugs. While Nick is also hoping that another girl shows up so that Gatsby could fall in love with her. So that he could forget about the love he has for Daisy.

He loves Daisy that he felt so magically being able to dance with the girl that he loves. He wanted to dance with her the entire night. The mood we get from this romantic mood. Since these song lyrics represent an intimate moment for two individuals. Those 2 individuals happen to be Gatsby and Daisy.

These song lyrics are significant because Gatsby is madly in love with Daisy. He's attached to Daisy ever since he had meet her and would be willing to do anything for her. Which is why as the lyric states," into your tent I'll creep" that represents Gatsby. He bought a house near Daisy house. Just so that he could be close to her. This effects the mod of the novel during this area of the book. We get a mood of psychotic mood. It lets the reader get a glimpse of how in reality Gatsby's love for Daisy has driven him a bit crazy. Daisy and Nick come over to Gatsby's home after they had spend time at Nicks's. Gatsby's showing off his home to his guest and then they head downstairs. In which he orders Klipspringer to play the piano. Klipspringer hasn't really practiced, but Gatsby still makes him play. The song that he play is Ain't We Got Fun. The reason he wanted the song to be played was so that he could impress Daisy.

These song lyrics are significant because this is represents more of the parties at Gatsby's home. People are always having fun at his parties since they last all night long until the morning. As well as these song lyrics can represent Tom and Myrtle because they have fun drinking and cheating on their spouses. They don't care about the consequences because all they wanna do is have fun. The song influences the mood of cheerfulness and rebellious. Many characters want to have fun and that means they are willing to do crazy things in order to achieve that. That is why you get a mood of craziness because you dont know what to expect when people want to have fun.

This song will convey the psychotic mood because stalking someone is what this song is trying to convey. Which is what this section of the novel is trying to get the message to the audience. That Gatsby loves Daisy so much that his attachment to her has caused him to do crazy things.
