    I face a challenge with listening to the teleconferences. I just finished listening to the ones posted all be it not live! From those I realised I missed out on starting the research project and also setting up Padlet.

To my surpise I was expected to submit a power point. I must say this surprised actually benefitted me exactly one week after I made my submission.

    I had only worked with power point many years before, I didnt remember how to use it, I was lost! I researched how to and made use of google and youtube. Exactly one week to the date of my post I was called upon at work to analyze a particular strategy the company had just adapted and to chart the way forward. I did not read with understanding and hence did not make the distinction between the weekly discussions and the research paper.
    I selected crime as my topic and the effect of crime on tourism in Montego Bay Jamaica as my research question.
    I have watched over the years how criminals have destroyed the image of my lovely country Jamaica. If by doing this research paper I will be able to get the attention of even one person to the plight of the Jamaican people as a result of criminal activities. I will feel a part of the solution as I feel the entire country should be a part of the solution and not the elected few.

    She did not critique with assumptions she backed up her arguements with facts from established source.
    Her critique was the highlight of my week.

    My Tutor gave me valuable feedback, not to mention my consistent use of the words dis memberment, what an embarassment!. 
    I now have to pay close attention when I am wrting words that Jamaicans have created alternatives for.
    When the Death Squad was dis-banded Jamaicans use the word dis memberment as the men were all members of the police force.
