The US was very fearful of the threat of communism due to the cold war and wanted it to stop. North Vietnam was communist and South Vietnam was anti-communist and backed by the US. Over 3 million people died and many Americans were outraged feeling as if the US had no business being involved in the war resulting in protests such as in the photo above. In the end north Vietnam won and the Vietnamese people call it the victory war.

The black panther party was political party that fought for black rights. They fought against police brutality and organized armed citizen patrols in US cities. The FBI labeled them as an communist organization and further went on to make up evidence in them to have them disbanded. The party had many internal conflicts and had incredibly violent methods of justice. However, as we can see in the photo the people were a passionate party to simply wished to fight for equality but later lost the plot.

This famous march took place in Alabama that was a very racist state at the time. The reason of the march was to show that only about 2% of black people were registered to vote and that they had a hard time trying to vote. Demonstrators were violent as showed above were police began to beat the protesters. Even though the march was relatively peaceful 3 white ministers who were supporters got attacked by the KKK. Once this event got attention in later months president Johnson signed a bill that allowed black people to vote.
