In the article, it says,"The new materials can also be shrunk to functional circuits just three atoms thick and they require less energy than silicon circuits". This means this new material&nbsp;can mean longer battery lives in phones and have higher functionality. Also, technology can become more complex and more powerful with these thinner semi-conductors.</div>]]></description>
