Hera loved to outwit Zeus, and she had once persuaded the rest of the Olympians to join her. Hera put a poison in his drink which made him go into a deep sleep. As he was sleeping the Olympians bound him with rawhide thongs as well as taking away his master bolt. When he woke up he was infuriated and started yelling at the gods, saying that he would punish them all. A loyal friend of his, the hundred handed one, saw Zeus chained up and burst into the rope to undo the hundred knots. Zeus was free, then he took his wife Hera and chained her in the sky. None of the other gods dared to help her.
