         <title>Arrow to the Sun</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>A boy, born from the sun, sets out on a quest to find his father. On his journey he travels through the world of men, finally an Arrow Maker fitted the boy in his bow and drew it. He shot to the heavens, and he traveled to the sun. Once he arrived, he had to prove himself, and he did. The father and son rejoiced and his father tasked him to return to earth, and bring his spirit to the world of men. <br>Reading this book to students can open their eyes to new ways of life and how the people in that culture lived. <br>McDermott, G. When Sylvester finally wishes to be his real self again, he turns back into a donkey.<br>This story could be helpful in a classroom because it teaches kids to never wish to be someone else.          <description><![CDATA[<div>On a Tuesday night, when the sun sets the local frogs take over the neighborhood. the frogs do the impossible, they do exactly what the people never thought could happen. Now when you go outside at night they have to always be aware.<br>This story teaches that things could happen, that you never thought would happen. You should always be careful, when going outside and be aware of your surroundings. Also this book is a picture book, this can help students make observations on what is taking place in the pictures. <br>Wiesner, D.          <title>Owl Moon</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>A young girl and her father decide to go on a walk at nighttime to a farm near their home to look for owls. The moon is shining bright and the snow is heavy. The father continued to call for owls, but there was no answer. The young girl remained silent because she knew in owl calling you had to. When they finally reach a place deeper in the woods. Pa calls out to an owl, and it calls back, they smile in joy. They spend a few minutes enjoying the moment then returns to their house. When going howling you do not need words or warm, just hope. <br>This story is useful in classrooms because it can teach students, sometimes hope is the best thing to have.          <description><![CDATA[<div>A young boy on Christmas Eve lies in bed listening for Santa's sleigh, before being told by a friend that Santa does not exist. Instead of hearing a sleigh, he hears a steam engine. This train leads to the center of town where Santa is stationed. While on the journey he makes new friends and makes new discoveries. All he asks for is a silver bell from Santa's sleigh, which he receives but loses on the way home. On Christmas morning, a small box with his name on it has the bell in it. Now the boy believes in Santa and the spirit of Christmas.<br>This story can teach kids to believe in anything you want to and never let anyone stop you.          <title>Joseph Had a Little Overcoat</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Joseph had an overcoat that was worn out and had holes in it, so he made it into a jacket. Once the jacket wears out, he makes it into a vest, scarf, a necktie, a handkerchief, and a button. Each item is wore to a location, Each item is worn to an outing, such as a wedding or a family event. Eventually he loses the button, he has nothing left, but a story to tell.<br>This story teachers children you can always make something out of nothing. Also students can have fun reading because as each page is turned the reader can look at the next die cut hole and guess what Joseph's coat will become.<br>Taback, S.          <description><![CDATA[<div>Rainbow Fish is the most beautiful fish in the ocean. His scales shimmer like the color of the rainbow. Other fish want these beautiful scales to, but the Rainbow Fish keeps the scales to himself. His decision not to share, makes him lonely. When he decides to start sharing his scales with other fish it makes other and himself feel happy. <br>This book is useful in a classroom because it teaches children being selfish, is not a good thing.          <description><![CDATA[<div>Evan has a dog, that is his best friend. They do everything together, such as playing games going on hikes, and working on their garden. When the dog passes away, Evan feels like nothing will be the same, so he ruins his garden to pieces. When weeds move in, and he tends to cater to a prickly vine. This vine begins to grow a pumpkin. This pumpkin helps Evan with his sadness. The pumpkin will never replace the dog, but the pumpkin helps him heal.<br>This is useful in classrooms because it teaches the students about the hardships of losing a friend, a pet. This story shows nothing will ever replace the person or thing you lossed.          <title>Where the Wild Things Are</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>A young boy Max, gets sent to bed without dinner. Max falls asleep and his room transforms into a moonlit forest surrounded by a vast ocean. Max is excited to escape his mother's strict rules. He reaches where the wild things are and he is not scared and they realize Max is the wildest of them all, so they make him king. After days of fun, Max has had enough and sends his subjects to bed without their dinner, like his mom did. At this point, he misses his mom, and realizes being in charge is hard. He smells something delicious, his mother brought him dinner, so he sails back to the place he is loved most.<br>This story is useful in classrooms because it shows students to appreciate their parents.
