It's been very good (and increasingly rare) to have time and space to critically consider and engage with ideas around transdisciplinarity - LILA has provided a space (even though virtual) for this and to find alignments across research and practice

I am finding it increasingly challenging to procure (even internal, pump priming, impact related) funding for research / engagement with the arts. I don't know if this is a general challenge due to COVID and focus on economic regeneration and different industries (I am in UK). I would like to explore how we can work proactively to explain and describe the necessity for spaces that enable discussions and criticality, giving those in all contexts (and many of us occupy multiple roles here of course!) the chance to have these ever elusive spaces for discussion and collaboration. I am therefore interested in how we 'translate' what we are doing across disciplines and within institutions and how we ensure their continuation and that things are not 'lost'.

It has been quite inspirational as it enabled us to think more deeply about the other outcomes of using creative arts and playfulness to encourage learning - that of building trust between learners that enables the unsayable to be communicated.

i think much of the work shared so far has so much possibility for helping with the difficulties individuals and communities have experienced during the pandemic - It would be great to see the approaches and creativity of the network being used to achieve what governments say they want to do - however in the UK the funding e.g. for schools is being suggest for quite uncreative uses e.g. "cramming" children with more of the same curriculum instead of thinking of participatory, creative and innovative activities for our children and young people - so, is the network in a good place to speak to agendas of post-pandemic recovery?
