         <description><![CDATA[<div>&nbsp; 2) I had learnt that a magnet has 2 poles, north pole and south pole, they can attract (pull) or repel (push) a magnetic object but cannot attract or repel on non magnetic material.<br>&nbsp;3) I am unsure about the&nbsp; magnetic field. What pattern will it form if iron fillings is sprinkled on a different types of magnet ?<br>&nbsp;4) I find most interesting about magnet is when I can make a temporary magnet using the stroke method. &nbsp;<br>5) How magnetism is used in musical instrument?</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>1) What I Have Learnt:<br>Magnets can attract and repel other magnets.Magnets attract magnetic materials such as steel, iron and cobalt.Magnets cannot attract non-magnetic materials such as wood,plastic,aluminium and copper.If you put two magnets with like poles facing each other, they repel each other,if you put two magnets with unlike poles facing each other,they attract each other.If you accidentally break a magnet into half, they will become two magnets. You can make a magnetic material into a magnet by using a magnet to stroke the magnetic material.The more you stroke the magnetic material, the stronger the magnetism of the magnetic material.The north and south poles of a magnet has the strongest magnetism.When you shake a magnet and it comes to a rest, it will point at the north and south directions.<br><br>2) What I Am Unsure About Magnets:<br>I am unsure how magnets gain their magnetism.Why do they attract?Why do they repel?And why do they rest pointing at the north and south directions.<br><br>3) What I Find Most Interesting About Magnets:<br>When you can turn a magnetic material into a magnet, it is very interesting. It is also interesting when you shake a magnet and it comes to a rest, they will point to the north and south directions.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>1.ETHAN LIM JIE RUI<br>2. I have learnt that<br>2a. Magnets attract and repel each other.<br>2b. Magnets attract steel, iron, cobalt and nickel<br>2c. Magnets CANNOT attract wood, plastic, glass and rubber. Amazingly, not all metals will be attracted.&nbsp;<br>eg. Copper<br>2d. When magnets rest, they point in the north south direction.<br>4. I am very interested when you use different ways to make a temporary magnet.<br>5. Let's hope Thomson East Coast Line[ expected to be completed by 2024.] will be the first maglev train in singapore.</div>]]></description>
