As the Pandemic rapidly spread through the United States, govenors made conscientious decisions to shut down states, which caused a dramatic shift in the flow and function of every day life. With the freedom to escape (if but for a few hours) taken away, families were forced create and navigate through a new "normal."The new normal consisted of working from home, online school, and limited outtings to the grocery store. With the freedom of leisure activities such as meeting with friends, going to the movies, and indoor parks and arcades taken way, families had to rediscover and reimagine entertainment both individually and collectively. Couples, parents, and siblings set new boundaries in place to maintain sanity and individuality. 
The COVID Era was one of great difficulty mixed with tears sorrow, laughter, joy, loss, pain, and enlightenment. In spite of the paradoxes created, families saw its resiliency in love lead to new depths of intuiative ways to gather and enjoy each other. No longer were the days of freely leaving and entering the home carelessly. Many homes created sanitation stations in the entry way of the home. Before leaving, one would check to see if their travel sized hand sanitizer and mask were in hand. Before entering past the entry way of the home, many people sanitzed their hands, sprayed clothes with disinfectant spray and wiped down shoes with disinfectant wipes.
Conducting personal, work, or school business was now done at home on laptops in the living room, bedroom, basement etc. 
Families returned to nostalgic board games and puzzles and even created new games when they needed a break from their streaming devices.

The use of online therapy rates rose as well as the use of mediation apps, and mental health wellness books. People were determined to survive, and equipped their minds to thirve.
