She has a best friend named Ellen who is jewish.  Ellen´s family is in danger because they are jewish. Ellen and her parents stay away from each other for some days so they can't be in danger. Ellen go's back with her family and sneak to the boat with her family so they can go to Sweden to not get cought by the nazi solders. Peter , the  person who helps the Rzens and the other people ends up getting shot by nazi solders in a block with people watching .
