It was an amazing day. Icebreaking activities were useful. I had a chance to meet others and be friends. I can use them in my class. In the afternoon session, the discussion on writing encourage me to adopt some process writing tools in my class. I had the chance to think how i can adopt the exercises into my class. For example, i can use the snack writing we did via WhatsApp can be done on small papers. Then i can extent it.

Day 2 is on listening. There is an icebreaker 'someone like me'. I like it because you can use it with simple sentences in the class. I may prepare some pre-questions so the students can learn what they are going to ask. I also have chance to think about authentique and guided listening. As it is not always convinience to use authentique listening, onion ring activity and classroom memory game can be adopted. As we have practiced on pre, while and post listening activities, i like the activity we do from british council's learningenglish.com. it has pre, while and post exercises. I can use it in crowded classrooms.

Day 3 In the speaking section, we have done classroom survey, information gap, role play, pair discussion and group negotiation. As i am at a crowded school infirmation gap activities cannot be easily done in crowded classroom. Grup negotiqtion is also hard to adopt in crowded classrooms. Pair discussion can be done. I can use it as a pre or post activiy as reinforcer of a task. Also by changing partner i can use it many times. Role play is the activity i use most and like best among others. Before doing the activity i can prepare introdoctury exercises and comprehension activities can be given after the activity.

I like warmer activity: postie. It can be doable in the classroom. I can use it as if they are pen-friends by giving the topic. I really enjoyed the part that we have done on reading. I have chance to learn new things on pre, post and while activity. The activity 3b on the book about the flipped learning was inspiring. We first found the titles. In this activity we skimmed the text and had a general idea. Then we scan the text and searched for the detailed answers. I can use this activity in reading classes by making students look for a New title or make them search for a New information other than the ones on the coursebook.

Grammer is the most problematic area in out classes. Mostly, we dictate the structures and students write down. I realized that i havent given enough importance to discovery learning. I can make students read a text at home and find the new structures. Then we can study it in the class. Using technology in an efficient way can help me save extra time for class activities. It also help students make real life like exercises.

I didnt think vocabulary as a seperate lesson before. I taught it in a recepretory way that students were always passive. I will use more active way of teaching. I think repetition is the best option when teaching vocabulary. I can teach vocabulary with different tasks at school including matching exercises, gap filling, role playing etc

We have chance to reflect on assesments. I learnt about the differences between assessment of learning and assessment for learning. I agree that assessment should enhance learning process. Along with that, i think students self asseesment of their process is also important. I will spare time for self assessment. Self assesment forms that are prepared according to our coursebooks will be introduced to students at the beginning of the term. Students will be aware of hiw they assess themselves. If they do it sincerely, it will be a very useful tool for self learning.
I am think of using portfolio as another tool of asssesment, especially for the weaker students so i can assess effort. This can motivate and encourage weaker learners.
