The Communist Party of China was formed in 1921. It was under Mao Zedong's control six years later in 1927. In these times chaos played a major role from the acceptance of Mao. Mao had about 85 percent of the nation who were poor farmers. Not so to long after 1927, the Communists had won the war which had led to the markings of the beginning of Communism.

China's last government before the Communists was the Qing dynasty. They were ruled by emperors and had the Mandate of Heaven. The Mandate of Heaven was used to justify the emperor's right to rule based on their ability to govern. The dynasty began in 1644 and ended in 1912.

There were several factors that aided the victory of the Communist Movement. One was the communists had great control over people and thought of good plans. Another is that leadership played a major role in the victory of the Communist Movement. The Communists had help from the United States. The Communists received funds from the United States. The Communists also received lots of help from other people around them.
