There are two types of buses in Cuba. The Astro is the cheapest type of the two types of buses. However, it's really crowded and hot. Its price is 2 times cheaper than the Viazul bus. The Viazul bus is the most expensive out of the two. Though the service is nice. The bus only accepts payment in dollars. The bus runs on nine routes across the country east to west or otherwise. But mostly from Havana to other cities like Trinidad and Santiago de Cuba. A ride from Havana to Varadero would cost around 10$. A ride from Havana to Santiago de Cuba would cost around 55$.

Another public transportation in Cuba is the train. Trains in Cuba run along the main route that's connected from Havana to Santiago de Cuba. The trains are comfortable and reliable even though it's quite old already and they provide nice landscapes of the country.

Most tourists uses rental cars to transport around Cuba. The amount of money you should pay for a day is about $50. But you must have a driver's licence and you need to be over 21 to drive car rentals.

You can also use taxis to transport around Cuba. It would cost around 50 cents to $1.50 / mile.

Problem: Lots of Cubans really depends on buses. However, there's not many public buses available there. Buses there doesn't carry too much people at once too. It's really crowded and it's very rare for you to get a seat in the buses. So the government made this new type of bus called the camello in the early 90s. The camello is a huge bus that uses 18 wheels. The bus can hold around 300 passengers at once. It's not that crowded either. But in 2010, camellos are banned because they're dest

Most of the country is poor and 15% of the country lives in extreme poverty. 2/3 of the country lives in poverty. 85% of the population in Cuba has house ownership. The eldest son of late Cuban revolutionary leader Fidel Castro, Fidel Castro Diaz-Balart, committed suicide Thursday after being treated for months for depression, Cuban state-run media reported.
 
A Kenyan doctor in Cuba committed suicide because of depression, the Star has established.

He was among a team of 50 medics sent to Cuba under government sponsorship to study Family Medicine in the framework of an MoU between Kenya and the Caribbean nation.

 With the wait for social and economic transformation dragging on, many Cubans find escape from the difficulty of day-to-day life in black-market sleeping pills. Although Cuba's medical system is praised internationally, the government does not track rates of depression or of use of the nation's most popular sleep pills, which is only available on the black market.

 Psychiatrists say that depression due to the crippled economy is so common that it's not considered a serious problem, yet Cuba has the highest suicide rate in Latin America.

 Cuba has 13.9 suicides per 100k which is the 34th ranking

The GDP of the country in 2010 was $114.1 billion. The natural resources of Cuba include nickel, iron ore, cobalt, chromium, silica, copper, and petroleum. Cuba has been importing 100,000 bbl/d of oil from Venezuela on a conditional basis where part of the payment is through services from Cuban personnel in Venezuela.

The U.S made an embargo that basically limits Cubans to access American products except for food and medicine. This embargo is made in 1962.
Why is the embargo made: The 1962 policy was made to force Cuba into economic isolation and cause a popular movement to overthrow the Castro government. The U.S was scared of the spreading of communism so they decided to make this embargo.
Castro government: the government that was led by a communist named Fidel Castro. He was a prime minister in 1959-1976 and as president in 1976-2008.
