I shared with my specialists that admin are committing to a grade level moving forward. That seemed to make them happy. Along that thread, I had to clear up a misconception that 4th grade were told "no small groups" with remote learning. Some are having difficulty with flexibility and want to be told clearly and explicitly what should be covered and how. - Amanda

Yesterday's 1st Grade RPW went well. The utilization of the chat feature for the teachers to provide examples of what is going well was an efficient way to share. The breakout room by school allowed teams to discuss next steps. One suggestion- one of the specialists could set the rooms up while the other is presenting information to the group as a whole. It might also be beneficial to have a method, such as Padlet, to record the key points discussed during the breakout room portion. - Kevin

Last week's 3rd grade RPW went great. Maisy and Ellen asked teachers to look at Lesson 1 and asked targeted questions around how to plan for that lesson. Teachers went into break room to discuss one question at a time and came back to the whole group to share. I believe teachers left with a draft of that first lesson.
Yvette

The 4th Grade ELA group is showing a lot of interest in collaborating together. They are beginning to use the shared drive on Google Drive to share Slide Presentations for the Marine Life Quest. I noted who was in attendance. At the end, I sent "gentle reminders" to anyone not present sharing what was discussed and the value of collaborating. The breakout sessions were utilized and this seemed effective.
Ned
