To the beat of rain and breeze.

The ocean murmurs to the shore,

Of islands rich with culture and more.

The bamboo sways with the breeze,

Kulintang sings within.

We hear the chimes from the hills up high,

Their echoes reaching the sky.

Our strength is like the tall volcano,

Our hope, like rivers that freely flow.

With every laugh and every cheer,

We show the world we persevere.

From mountain peaks to ocean waves,

We honor those who came before,

Their lives built this place we know,

The Philippine, forevermore!

“Guys, let’s watch the parade, eat food, and have fun together!” Angela said. ‘” Yes!” her friends cheered excitedly.

The day has finally come, the streets were filled with flowers, music, and happy people. Angela and her friends was among the street crowd. As they walked to the parade, Mark whispered, “The mean kids from school are behind us.” “Should we avoid them?” Isabella asked nervously. Angela smiled. “No. Let’s invite them to join us.”

The mean kids were surprised when Harry said, “Come and join us! It would be more fun with more people.” After thinking about it, they nodded and joined in. Together they made fun. They cheered at the parade, enjoying the food, and was impressed by the dancers. Everyone had a great time.  

By the end of the day, the mean kids weren’t mean anymore, they became their new friends. It really was an experience to cherish. Having a wonderful moment and gaining new friends.

The kindness bloomed, just like the flowers in the Panagbenga Festival.
