Victoria Street

Victoria street appeals to me because of the wonderful combination between vibrant and classic appearance, moreover, it is the inspiration for Diagon Ally, which is a magic street where Hagrid brought Harry Potter and lead readers to the magic world for the first time. I love the colorful walls with stone roads that looks like a fairytale in Middle Ages. Especially when the sky becomes darker and the lights turn on, I cannot help being attracted by the atmosphere full of imaginary and mysterious.

Edinburgh Castle

I am not familiar with Scottland history, but I am interested in learning the story and historical value behind the buildings and to admire the beauty. Edinburgh Castle was built at least 3000 years ago, and it served as the residence of Scottish royal family in 12th to 16th century and turned to castle for monarch in 17th century. The castle stands on the Castle Rock, so tourists can not only visit the architecture but also overlook the city of Edinburgh. It is amazing that each part of castle is a trace from the past. For me, visiting historic buildings is an opportunity to know the way how ancients living and what events happened.

The Elephant House

As a big fan of Harry Potter, the elephant house is one of must-go sites in my wishing list because it is a cafe where JK Rowling wrote Harry Potter. I would be so excited that I could visit the “birthplace” of magical story created. As a creator, I hope that I could be inspired by the same environment. Also, I enjoy staying in a comfortable cafe with light music, having latte and cakes, and chatting with friends or sketching the view outside of the window.

Royal Mile

In my impression of England or Scottland, I would describe these places in gray, foggy, and busy. Royal Mile fits those description perfectly because It is a connection of the streets through old town in Edinburgh including Castle Esplanade, Castlehill, Lawnmarket, High Street, Canongate, and Abbey Street. This pulsating heart offers lots of eating and drinking spots. Tourists can go shopping in unique stores and experience the old European street with modern services. Though it is different, I consider the tone and the vibe of buildings looks like the background of Sherlock Holmes, which is a detective fiction written by Arthur Conan Doyle in 19th century.
