My reasoning to why I think indigo represents Anne throughout the entries is that Anne is wise trying to look at the positive in a inescapable problem. ¨Only now do I realize how pleasant a streetcar is, but we Jews are no longer allowed to make use of this luxury; our own two feet are good enough for us.¨(p.2) This quote from the text connects to the color indigo because indigo is described as devotion, justice, and wisdom, those are the words I´d use to describe Anne Frank. Anne feels like there is justice that needs to be served for the Jews and Anne is devoted and wise in the way she sees her situation and the way she handles it.
