Our curriculum for Key Stage 3 is built based on the Activate textbooks. Your child should have access through Kerboodle.

Assessment

After every topic, Key Stage 3 students will have an end-of-topic assessment, which will assess the knowledge and skills developed within the topic.

The assessment will be made up of a mixture of question styles linking to recall, application, practical and maths skills.

They will get one week notice before an assessment and will reflect on the assessment once it has been marked.

After every topic, IGCSE students will have an end-of-topic assessment which will assess the knowledge and skills developed within the topic against exam-level expectations. They will get one week notice before an assessment and will reflect on the assessment once it has been marked.

Learners will have end of Year 10 assessments which will assess all content covered at an IGCSE exam level. Learners will have mock exams in Year 11 in preparation for the final exams.

For Year 12 - There will be an end of Year 12 assessment for each Science that will cover all AS level content

For Year 13 - To support the preparation for the final exams, there are mock exams in January
