There are a number of ways to lower crime rates. Schools and barangays should all create programs and policies that promote human dignity and respect for one another. There should be a concerted effort from all to reduce or even eliminate all forms of violence that can be seen in social media platforms. Children should not be allowed to buy and play games that exhibit violence because they “normalize” violence and crime. Police visibility should be increased to deter the commission of crimes. The entertainment industry should make movies and songs that illustrate positive thoughts to help temper and control negative thoughts and bad vibes.

We agree that matters of war should be discussed in the APEC Summit because they definitely affect the economy of the world. Geopolitics influence the economy of nations and so, it is fitting to include as topics in APEC meetings matters concerning war. As it is clear that nations have different opinions on war, disunity exists and the effect thereof to the economies of nations is primarily a bad one. We say this because when nations are disunited, they would not open their doors for trading. In case nations that disagree with each other do business with each other, the terms and conditions of each trade transaction will not be favorable to both. Nations would be less cooperative when they are disunited.

There will always be challenges that could impact the affordability of rice in our country. As the Philippines is located in the “ring of fire” so to speak, the weather is somehow unpredictable and floods caused by torrential rains can definitely ruin palay. Lack of palay means a lack of rice to be produced that will surely cause an increase in prices. We cannot control nature and thus, soil and water resources can be contaminated and these will likewise affect the production of rice. Less production means more demand and so, the possibility for prices of rice to increase exists. Pests also affect the production of rice and will also affect prices.
