My Passion for Teaching

When I was in high school, I had the amazing opportunity to shadow a Kindergarten teacher and her class who made me fall in love with teaching. It was through this experience that I got to see the beauty in the journey of learning. Getting to see a teacher display patience and grace to her students was something that touched my heart and moved me deeply. This classroom is where I started to see that learning can be so much FUN! The accomplishment of learning something new is so rewarding and encouraging, and it is even better when you have someone by your side that you trust and admire who helped you get there. Students are my passion! I love to see the creativity, personality, gifts and unique abilities that flow out of each and every one of you. Nothing brings me more joy than seeing you work hard and accomplish your goals. When you set your mind to something you can complete it with hard work and perseverance. The desire of my heart is to pursue and lead students well, and have so much fun while doing so. Students are world changers!

My Educational Background

I attended the University of Arkansas, where I received my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. In my time at the U of A, I was apart of a sorority, served often at my church, and had the opportunity to lead a community group. I absolutely loved my experience and I met so many amazing friends who have shaped me into who I am today. I had amazing professors who pushed me to be the best student I could be and helped me grow in my success. I am forever grateful for this university!

My Hobbies

One of my favorite things to do outside of the classroom is travel with my family! This picture was taken in Grand Cayman, which is still one of my favorite trips to this day. For years, we have spent our summers at the beach. We love going out to eat, snorkeling, and spending lots of time in the sun! In the picture with me is my younger sister, she is my best friend. My family also loves trips to the mountains where we go hiking, rafting, and horseback riding. Spending time with my family is very important to me. They are my favorite people to be with!
