Intense exercise can affect my body in many ways. For example it can make our heart beat/minute and pulse increase. For example when you run a mile you exhale more carbon dioxide and breath in a lot of oxygen as well because your body is trying to get oxygen so that it can do cellular respiration to make ATP energy for your muscles to move, this causes carbon dioxide production which is what you exhale.

When you do intense exercise the muscles start to run out of oxygen and won't be able to keep up with the demand for energy, when there isn't enough oxygen present to produce enough ATP in the muscles for muscle contraction, lactic acid fermentation will start. Lactic acid fermentation makes lactic acid which is removed by the bloodstream slowly over time, and lactic acid fermentation can only go on for too long as lactic acid causes a burning sensation and there can't be too much lactic acid in the body.

Intense exercise causes your body to need more energy to keep up with the activity. The process of cellular respiration produces the energy or ATP to keep your muscles moving. To do this our oxygen intake increases (breathing faster) and produces more carbon dioxide that we breathe out.

When you exercise, blood rapidly flows through your body in order for the necessary oxygen to get to the muscles. When this occurs, carbon dioxide is produced and you slowly get tired from the lack of oxygen to the muscles. Due to this lack of oxygen, your heart beats faster and you breathe heavier and more rapid.
