We have documented many deaths of stars in our milky way galaxy alone. With all the knowledge we have about dying stars, we know that are Sun is a dwarf star and it won't die with a cataclysmic explosion just like huge stars when they die. Four billions years to come our Sun would have used all it's solar energy and will die, taking planets like Mercury,Venus, Earth and probably Mars to its grave. They will come to know mars as their home.
