The supplies that are needed to change the child should be around arms distance of the counter. Some of the essentials at this area include, diapers, cleaning products and a disposal spot for the soiled diapers. A rocking chair may be used to feed infants a bottle, whether it be breast milk or formula. Infants also need hard surfaces. surfaces like wood floors can provide the the resistance needed for good posture. Very young infants don't need much in their environment, but as they grow will begin to need simple toys. The best object in this space is a human face. Simple objects can be used such as a scarf or other light objects that they can grasp, drop, mouth, poke and bang.
