You can't trust what see on Instagram, or Facebook, or Twitter, or whatever else. It can Photoshoped or just a complete lie. It really spreads bad feeling that wouldn't normally be spread without social media.

In some ways, it has diminished the values of our ancestors. Technology has become an addiction because the allure of technology is too strong. Some people today can not take their eyes off a screen because of things such as enhanced online gaming, movie production, television, Youtube videos, and Social Media Apps causing a distraction. Furthermore, the intended purpose of social media is for communication within a virtual community. However, in many ways, that definition has changed. Cyberbullying has caused people to fall into pits of self-doubt and isolation. People can now see anything posted online, which sometimes has negative impacts on people. If someone were to find out something private about a person, posting about it online or on social media will expose it to the whole world, and in that way, it is dangerous. There are also scams where people try to steal your money and personal information. Plagiarism has given credit to people who are cheaters and liars. It has affected our connection with nature, and face-to-face interaction has decreased now that people do not even need to see their friends to reach out to them. It has jeopardized family connections and relationships as the distraction of technology takes up our time in life. However, if we focus on the negative impacts of technology, that is all it will ever be. Technology has helped us in many ways and has been beneficial. Though, along with other aspects of our life, technology needs to be balanced out. Let's not forget that technology is not everything. It is a tool to use for sharing new ideas into the world and improve the standard way of living. If you think about it, if something is obtainable, it has the potential of being used in the wrong way, but it is up to humanity for that to be decided. When we use it for good, we share our creations with the world and help it grow. We have to be courageous and look at it from this standpoint, which is that we do not depend on technology, but how we use it depends on us.
