Cecilia was accused of being a Christian and was brought before the court and she continued to claim that she was a Chrsitian. This caused them to torture her in different ways and while everyone waited for her to refuse due to the pain of the torture, she began to sing psalms. That caused her to die in the end by beheading but the testimony she gave made other Christians afraid of persecution. Therefore Saint Cecilia was considered as the patron saint of the musicians.
