Summary:
It was an informative class. I learned about the importance of the literature review. It was helpful to compare the writing style of the two students. Overall, once again it was a reminder for me of the pre-sessional classes where I was introduced to academic writing, its style, coherence, and the need to read more and more to write better.
My Learning
This session was very positive for me. I felt the approach of the professor was quite optimistic. It has helped and given me the confidence to do the trimester task with ease rather than being under pressure.

The key point of the session
The key point of the session for me was to believe in myself that I can do things better by practicing.

Summary
The third session was about the importance of Reflective practice. I got to know many new things during the class. Even though being religious it is my habit to write in general and gather my thoughts, reflective writing as an educator has a broader sense. I have enjoyed learning the writings shared by the professor. some of the points which have stroked me most are:
Reflective writing is a way of gaining insights and thoughts for reflection.
It is useful for mentors to work with newly appointed teachers.
Also frees the person to detach from the former thinking style.
Overall, I feel it frees the person to give words to their thoughts and insights. I also appreciate the activity done by the professor. The pattern of questions has helped me to understand clearly the reflective practice.

The class was about the importance and practices of various types of leadership. The class for me was more to think and ponder on the various types of leadership I have experienced and lived with. I have learned more about the distinction between the leader and the follower. One of the most important learnings is leadership based on teamwork. even though in the past the practice has been different but at this present time shared leadership is needed.
I am bringing this thought with me from the class is that I am carrying both roles as a leader and at the same time as a follower. This idea has been quite reflective for me to see and balance my roles.

changed my view of leadership and values
key learning

I was able to make a distinction, particularly in the area of my dealing with my students. The class was one way a reminder for me to have a balance.
The most significant thing that stayed with me was to reflect on my identity as a teacher and relate it to present-day expectations.

Summary:
in todays class professor Marie continued with the last week's topic Teacher Identity and Values. we discussed the different developing identities and lay theories of a teacher which helps them to be more effective teachers. we also discussed about the emotional aspect of teaching which certainly needs a balance to have interactive and better learning.
The session has increased my knowledge by making me able to understand the relationship between the teacher and student by having read these theories. The importance of emotional intelligence has helped me to understand the value of reflective practice and the need to be a good decision-maker.
it has changed my view especially my dealing with my students for example to be a kind leader is one thing but I need to practice a practical and constructive approach.

The key learning for me is that the more I open myself helps me to keep discovering my true identity and value as a teacher.

The class began with the previous week's review. Today we learned about Mentoring. I was very excited about the class because that is the name of my master's program( Masters in Mentoring and Leading Learning).
The class was about the introduction and background history of mentoring, its principles, and particularly the challenges.
The question was quite challenging to answer do I see myself as a mentor if Yes why? I said yes because I feel I need to be open to learning and discovering new things. Even though it is quite challenging and becoming a mentor is not a one-day task it needs consistent practice but I am hopeful and willing to learn.

I feel since I have started this Pinnacle study it has been empowering me in my academic progress as well as my profession being a teacher.

The key learning of today's class for me is that I have got the insight of eagerness to learn and explore more.
