         <description><![CDATA[<div>On this day the Sioux were told to hand over all their weapons. At first, the army was not satisfied by the type and number of guns collected. They further searched the camp and found more guns hidden in tipis. One Native refused to give up his weapons and two soldiers ran to apprehend him. His gun fired and other natives drew their hidden weapons pointing them at the army. </div>]]></description>
