We encourage everyone, including parents, carers, and siblings, to take part in all of the activities in the session.</p><p><br/></p><p>Our Sensory Chill Out sessions give parents and carers the opportunity to build strong connections, share experiences with other parents, gain confidence and ideas to support children’s development and find out about local support and resources that are available.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Sensory boxes are available at all family hubs to support a person’s visit to the centre. The specific items in the box are to support sensory needs that individuals may have. </p><p><br></p><p>For neurodiverse individuals, having these items may help them to cope with the challenges they may face in attending an appointment/group.  It is a way to help regulate the nerves and release excess energy.  It may help an individual to be able to focus on what they need to do at the time they need to do it, using sensory regulation. </p><p><br></p><p>Separate waiting areas may be available on request for those where waiting in a busy reception area would prove challenging.  </p>]]></description>

If you would like to book the Sensory Room, please call our Blyth West Family Hub on<strong> 01670 541150</strong></p><p><br></p><p><strong>What we ask of you when using our Sensory Room:</strong></p><ul><li><p>Please remove all footwear and leave them outside the Sensory Room when using.</p></li><li><p>Please keep the Sensory Room a food and drink-free zone. We work collaboratively with students, community-based professionals and organisations from across a variety of sectors to make sure we are meeting the needs of the local communities. Our provision is delivered by our Peer Support Workers, CNTW Peers Support Workers and local facilitators, in community venues across the County.</p>]]></description>
