Q: I would like to reference your online lecture slides/slideshow presentation in my paper, and I am struggling to find information to complete the citation. Is it correct to assume that you are the sole author? Also, what is the latest date that the information was updated?

A: I am the sole author of everything in the class, including the assignments, activities, and online lecture slides. For the purposes of a class, you can write in the text of a paper things like "as stated in our cultural dimensions activity,...". It is not necessary to provide a full APA Style citation with dates, etc., for class materials within the context of coursework for that class.

Q: What exactly is a literature review?

A: For your Required Assignment...a Literature Review is a brief summary of 2 sources (journal articles) per theory for each of 4 theories in your chosen area. The idea is to learn and demonstrate that you know about the theories.

I recommend tackling one theory and one article at a time. So, find two articles for each theory. Then, begin with one theory, sit down with one article about it, and write one double-spaced page summarizing what the article is about. Be sure you discuss information found in the article's abstract and introductory paragraphs as well as information from the end of the article (the Conclusion/Discussion). Then, tackle the second article you found about that theory and write one page about it.

After you write your Literature Review in this way, you'll be in a much better position to apply the theories to your media artifact (movie) then go back to the beginning of the paper and write your introduction and abstract for it.
