For my location I chose St. John’s campus, I am new to this school so I wanted to take a walk around the landscape to get a better idea of where everything is and pick up on things I haven’t noticed yet. I decided to walk in the evening since I’m usually never on campus around that time.

Sensory while walking

the environment due to the time, season, and ambiance of the campus, made my walk very calming. I was in no rush to get anywhere so I was able to have undivided attention on my surroundings. The air felt comforting, not too warm not too cold. The evening is my favorite time of the day so I felt the most at ease while on my peaceful walk

As much as I loved walking on campus around this time of day, I also remember finding it strange seeing that there were no crowds of people trying to get to class like it is in the morning, this also made me feel a sense of calmness

Only students and faculty are permitted to be here unless you are a visitor or guest. St. John’s has a 85 acceptance rate according to Google

I thought this project was very interesting, walking is simple but analyzing your walk can be complex and knowledgeable, many people are usually preoccupied while walking whether they are talking to someone or texting and they don’t stop to notice the environment around them , the reading Springgay and Truman on Walking provided a new perspective on reality for me.
