Since 1984, it has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and you can understand why when you see it.

3 – Alhambra, Granada, Spain
Along with the Mosque-Cathedral of Cordoba, the Alhambra is the most prestigious witness to the Muslim presence in Spain from the 8th to the 15th century. Its name of Arabic origin means "the red castle".Its history is as rich as its architecture, in turn fortress, palace Moorish, then royal residence for the Catholic kings.

Legend of the city of Liverpool
The liver bird is the symbol of the city of Liverpool, it is a mythological bird, half cormorant and half eagle. It is at the top of the two royal liver building towers (90 metres high) on the edges of the Mersey (which is a river). The legend says that the two liver birds are a couple whose male contemplates the Irish sea to watch over the sailors, while the female watches over women and children who stayed in the city. According to another popular legend, the female faces the sea (to watch the sailors come home) while the male looks at the city (ensuring that the pubs are open). One day this couple of birds will decide to fly together and this day will mark the end of the city of Liverpool.

The euro is currently the official currency of 19 of the 27 EU member countries which together constitute the euro area even if all the countries of the European Union are part of the economic and monetary union, 19 of them replaced their national currency with the single currency: the euro.
The euro is the second most used currency in the world after the american dollars
The euro zone is composed of : Austria , Belgium , Cyprus , Estonia , Finland , France , Germany , Greece , Ireland , Italy , Latvia , Lithuania , Luxembourg , Ireland , Netherland , Portugal , Slovakia , Slovenia , Spain .

The history of the currency is different in each country . The currency in France is the euro. But in other countries it is not the same for example in the United Kingdom, the currency is the pound sterling .The euro currency has more value than, for example, the Algerian one. In the European union the currency of each country has more or less value .

First of all , Scotland , Northern Ireland ,England , and Wales have the same currency which in the pound sterling .However, in Great Britain, Southern Ireland uses , Euro as a currency. Then in France , before using Euro, French people used "Le Franc". Today this currency doesn't have any value and is not used anymore. Moreover , if we compare Euros to Dinar ( which is the Algerian currency ) we can say that the euro is stronger then the dinar now we are going to compare Euro with the Bulgarian currency which is called " LEV" Since the stronger currency corresponds to the lowest number ( for example for 1€ you can have 1,96 Lev it means that euro is stronger than the Bulgarian currency). To conclude , we can say that the main currencies in the world can suffer from financial crises and then can fluctuate like Dollars and Euros do.

THE HISTORY OF THE EUROPEAN FLAG : Songul GYUDYUL - Mehdi LEMOUCHE - Yassine SOULE & Chahid BERCISSE

The European flag is the symbol of the European Union and, of the identity and unity of the European union.

IDENTIFICATION :

The European flag consists in a circle of twelve gold stars on a blue background. There are 12 stars because the number 12 symbolizes perfection and fullness. It is 12 hours of day and night, but also 12 months of the year. Even if stars are not linked to the number of member states , we can think of the 12 founding members of the EU. The circle is a symbol of unity.

ADOPTION OF THE FLAG BY THE COUNCIL OF EUROPE :

Adopted on 9 December 1955 by the committee of Europe it became from 1 January 1986 the symbol of all the institutions of the European communities, it is also the official flag of two distinct international organisations : the council of Europe and more generally the European continent as a whole .

DIFFERENT FLAGS IN EUROPE :

GERMAN FLAG :

The German flag is composed of three black red and gold horizontal stripes. It was created in 1816 and adopted in 1919 and then in 1949. It is the only symbol enshrined in the German Basic Law. Its origins are uncertain. The colors would come from the uniforms of a Prussian body of volunteers who fought Napoleonic France in 1815. The current flag was first adopted by the Weimar Republic, then by both Germany in 1949, in 1959, the GDR (the East part of Germany) added hammer, compass and wheat to distinguish itself. In 1990, the flag became the one of the unified country.

BULGARIAN FLAG :

The Bulgarian flag dates back to 1879. At the time, the country suffered from the Ottoman attacks and, thanks to Russia's involvement, recovered a vast territory, however limited by the Western powers. Bulgaria therefore adopted a flag close to the one of Russia, a vector of independence: only green replaces blue, in a local variation of Slavic colors.
White symbolizes peace, green: abundance and freedom; and red, courage and bravery.

HUNGARIAN FLAG :
Composed of three horizontal bands (red, white and green), the Hungarian flag first appeared in 1848.

FRENCH FLAG :
The french flag dates back from the revolution. The three colors represent freedom. The white represents the king. The blue and the red represent Paris

ITALIAN FLAG :
The green white and red are the colors of Italy. There are several explanations : the green is associated to the hills of the Alps . The red represents the blood that was poured during the 19th wars of independence

RUSSIAN FLAG (not part of the EU) :
There are three horizontal colored stripes. Same height white blue and red.
