WA3 Listening Comprehension

2) The questions i found easy and doable were the MCQ and speaker section questions.

2024 EOY Reflections

1) My EL Overall Percentage is 66.7%

I feel happy for my results, although I do feel that I still have a lot of room for improvement, although I did not achieve my expectations (A2), I am still grateful that i got to pass English.

3) One strength that I have is …

One strength that I have is that I am able to identify the important details in my situational writing questions using IARPR, with this, I got to achieve better marks for Situational Writing compared to my expectations

4) Two things I can work on..

I can expand my vocabulary by reading more books so that i have a wider range of vocabulary to use in my Continuous writing. I can also do more editing and comprehension practices.

My December Holidays

One interesting thing I did over the December Holidays is going to Penang, Malaysia, for 4 days and 3 nights. I took the airplane there. I was amused by the nature and architecture there. I went to various tourist attractions there, such as the Penang Hill. Through this trip, I also got to practice one of my passions, which is photography. I experimented with the different types of photography such as street photography, and nature photography.

How do you feel about your WA1 results? Why?
I feel neutral about my results. Part of me feels that I could have gotten more marks if i read the questions properly and the other part of me feels relieved that I passed the paper.

I struggle in specifically understanding what the question is asking for

2021 FHSS Listening Comprehension

1) The segment I am most confident in is the speakers section

2) One challenge I face during the Note taking segment is figuring out the words that is being said as the pronounciation of the speaker in the audio can be misunderstood sometimes.

3) One action I will do during Note taking next time is making annotations as the audio is ongoing so that I am able to make out the answers based on inference in case I was not able to hear it clearly initially.

One thing I want to try to do this term to improve my English is expanding my vocabulary by googling the definition of difficult words I come across in storybooks, movies, shows and during English lessons.

REAP Project Reflections

One thing i enjoyed about the project was filming the scenes with my group. One challenge I faced was acting, since I barely act in such videos as I’m rather introverted and I feel uncomfortable to be on camera. But after acting in the trailer, I found that it wasn’t so bad after all. Before i made the book trailer, i thought that acting was very easy but after making the book trailer, i realised that it was in fact very tiring since we constantly have to redo certain scenes. After watching all 8 trailers, i feel most curious about reading “This Lie Will Kill You”

My English EOY Targets
