TB is survivable as with most any type of disease that if caught in time and treated with the correct antibiotics and treatment. Which is why if medicine had been more advanced, John Henry Holliday AKA Doc Holliday may have lived a longer life than just 36 years.  The treatment of Tuberculosis has come from what some could say the dark ages of medicine to the forefront of treatment.
