I'm reading articles I've "put in my Pocket" account online, and a book called Embracing Social Media, written by my friend, Kristin Magette. It's probably weird since I'm a former librarian, but I don't read much fiction anymore. I crave reading articles and blogs to improve my craft. The pendulum may swing back the other way...someday...but even on holiday, I read "for work." I find it invigorating, fun, motivating, and inspiring -- it IS my escape.

I'm listening to Beautiful Girl on CD in my car. It's really interesting - about a girl with special needs who gets raped and secretly has a baby.
I'm also reading The Florabama Ladies' Auxiliary & Sewing Circle which I picked up somewhere, because I love the Florabama. :) I also hoped it was a little like The Guernsey LIterary and Potato Peel Society. I listened to that last year and loved it! The book that captured me most recently was A Dog's Purpose. Finished it in one night! I highly recommend listening to book while driving or doing other work. It's about the only way I can fit it in. Overdrive is great for it! My other reading time is taken with articles for classes. Not as much fun to discuss.

I am reading Paris Architect for fun. I am just getting started, I'm not really into it yet. It was on a book list from an online book group site that I subscribe to. For work, I am trying to get caught up on weekly and monthly subscriptions like Education Week, Teaching Young Children, Educational Leadership, among a few others.

For my business classes, I am reading Let my People go Surfing by Yvon Chouinard (the creator of the company Patagonia) and The Leadership Challenge by Jim Kouzes and Barry Posner. Both are very interesting which is great so I don't fall asleep when I am reading late at night!
For fun, I am listening to audio books in the car because that is currently my only down time. I just finished listening to The Silent Sister by Diane Chamberlain for my book club and I enjoyed it.
