这次的烹饪课，只是提供材料和食谱，然后让我们自己烹饪，是蛮出乎我的意料的。我原本以为她们会带着我们一步一步地做。带着不安和未知，我们看着食谱一通操作，没想到做出来的食物还挺好吃的，这是第二个意外。

对比于华文教学，我们的学生大多也是有一些华文基础（会和面、切菜），也有一些华文小白（从来没有进过厨房），只要我们提供正确且充分的材料，例如字词的支撑（食材、器具）；提供正确的方法（食谱），学生通过小组合作，也是可以完成一些华文任务，例如片段写作，展示与解说等（食物）。

通过这次体验，我希望以后在教学中更大胆尝试，把课堂还给学生，多发挥学生的创意，让学生可以在做中学。

这次的PD活动组织和安排得很好！

I learnt to cook different dishes, pizza, soup etc. I also learnt to prepare the ingredients for different dishes.

We can take it the way that the dishes we are preparing are the results we targeted for our students. We need to provide them the ingredients (learning resources, strategies or worksheets) to help them to achieve their academic targets.

We need to patient with students. Just like cooking, we may need to try a few times before our dishes turn out tasty. Different students/dishes need different teaching strategies/ingredients to be successful. While we are preparing the students/ dishes, if we think we need more help to help them, just seek help.

Through the cooking experience, i learnt “practice makes perfect”. Have to inculcate this in students’ learning process. More hands on activities and lessons have to be creative!

• The experiences of attending the cooking class as a student, has taught me the value of hands-on learning. Engaging in practical activities can enhance understanding and retention of concepts, making lessons more enjoyable and effective, as compared to teacher-centered teaching that can be boring.

• The cooking lesson has also let me gained insights into the importance of interactive and collaborative learning. I plan to incorporate more group activities and interactive sessions in my teaching, which will encourage students to work together, share ideas, and learn from each other.

• I have thoroughly enjoyed this year PD cooking session and I look forward to next year PD in similar hands-on interactive and collaborative concept. Thanks!

1）我发现学习不一定要给学生设置太多局限。为了维持课堂秩序，身为教师的我们常常会为学生设想好规则和步骤。殊不知，学生也可以从摸索和磨合中学习。

2）我下次在设计活动时会尝试给学生更多自由。

Pupils need to practise good listening skills throughout all the tasks - listening to instructions from the teacher, listening to instructions from their peers - in order to apply what was taught successfully. They have to work collaboratively with their peers in order for their food to turn out not only edible but also presentable. Making the assignment a competition indirectly will make the pupils take more responsibility for their own actions in completing the tasks given.

这次的烹饪课，指导老师只是强调了安全措施，就要我们按照食谱，根据所提供的食材，开始自己学做意大利餐。在做的过程中，老师们分工合作，各自发挥所长，互相学习，互相提醒。氛围是非常和谐、轻松和愉快的，成果也是色香味美的。整个过程也增进了老师们彼此之间的了解。

由此联想到我们的教学。如果我们给的指令足够明确（如食谱）、学习材料足够充分（如食材），是可以放手让学生进行自主学习的，不用担心学生会犯错，因为团队的力量会让他们自行纠错。我们只要在一旁及时给予提醒和必要的指导，学生是可以完成学习任务的。

回想到之前做的教案，真正实践时，已经把教案抛到九霄云外去了，到了现场都在自由发挥了。因为举办方并不知道我们有自己的计划（教案），而是按照我们之前想吃的菜单准备的。但老师们还是很享受这个活动。

所以，当我们在设计wonder learning 活动时，要有更多的灵活性，让学生能够随机应变。

1. முதலில் மாணவராக இருந்து பெற்ற அனுபவத்தை வகுப்பில் பகிர்ந்து கொள்வேன்.இந்திய உணவல்லாது மற்ற இன மக்களின் உணவுகளை சமைத்துப் பார்த்ததின் மூலம் புதியதை ஆர்வத்துடன் கற்றுக்கொண்டால் சிறப்பாக செய்ய முடியும் என்று மாணவர்களுக்கு ஊக்கமளிப்பேன்.பாரம்பரியம்,கலாச்சாரம்,உணவு,பழக்க வழக்கம் போன்ற பாடங்களை நடத்தும் போது மற்ற இன மக்களின் பாரம்பரியம் ,கலாச்சாரம்,உணவு முறை,பழக்க வழக்கங்கள் போன்றவற்றை அறிமுகப்படுத்தலாம்.குழு நடவடிக்கையாக பிற நாட்டு மக்களின் சில குறிப்பிட்ட உணவுகள் எவ்வாறு இருக்கும் என்பதைப்பற்றி மாணவர்களை ஆராய்ச்சி செய்து தகவல்களை சேகரித்து குழுவாக படைக்கச் சொல்லலாம்.சில சுலபமான உணவுப் பொருட்களின் செய்முறையை மாணவர்களிடம் கொடுத்து  அவர்களை வீட்டில் பெற்றோர்களுடனும், குடுமபத்தினருடனும் சேர்ந்து சமைக்கச் சொல்லி அவர்களின் சமையல் அனுபவத்தை  வகுப்பில் பகிர்ந்து கொள்ளச் சொல்லலாம்.

2. அணுகுமுறை,திறம்பட கையாளுதல,கேட்கும் திறன்,கருத்துப்பரிமாற்ற திறன்,பொறுமையுடன் செயல்படுதல், குழுவுடன் ஈடுபடுதல்,பேச்சுத்திறன் மேற்கூறிய சில திறன்களை மாணவர்களிடம் வளர்க்க பல மொழி நடவடிக்கைகளை பாடத்துடன் சேர்த்து வகுப்புகளில் நடத்தலாம். உதாரணத்திற்கு பாரம்பரிய விளையாட்டுகள், கதைகள், பாடல்கள் போன்றவற்றை அன்றாட பாடங்களுடன் இணைத்து நடத்தலாம்.

3. குழு நடவடிக்கை சிறந்த கற்றல் அனுபவத்தை அளிப்பதாலும் மாணவர்களிடையே கற்கும் ஆர்வத்தை தூண்டுவதாலும் என் வகுப்பில் பல புதிய குழு நடவடிக்கைகளை சேர்த்து கொள்ள விரும்புகிறேன்.உதாரணத்திற்கு குழுவாக சேர்ந்து கதை சொல்லுதல்,கதை உருவாக்குதல்,நடித்தல்,பாரம்பரிய விளையாட்டுகளை விளையாடுதல்,பாடுதல்,இசை அமைத்தல்,படைத்தல்,வாசித்தல்,படித்தல் போன்ற பல நடவடிக்கைகளில் மாணவர்களை ஈடுபடுத்த விரும்புகிறேன்.

4. இத்தாலிய உணவு வகைகளை செய்யப் போகிறோம் என்று முன்கூட்டியே சொல்லி இருந்ததால் ஒரு பட படப்பு இருந்தது.எப்பொழுதுமே இந்திய உணவு வகைகளையே செய்து பழகி இருந்ததால் புதிய உணவுகளை எப்படி செய்வது என்ற அச்சமும் இருந்தது.இருப்பினும் குழு நடவடிக்கை என்பதால் ஒரு தைரியம் வந்தது.நண்பர்கள் துணையுடன் எதையும் செய்து பார்த்து விடலாம் என்ற நம்பிக்கை வந்தது.பாடத்திட்டம் எழுதியது கை கொடுத்தது.பாடத்திட்டத்தை சுலபமாக எழுதியதால் சமயலை நன்றாக செய்து குறிக்கோளை அடைய முடியும் என்ற நம்பிக்கை பிறந்தது.

5. இந்த ஆண்டு சமையல் வகுப்பில் கற்றுக்கொண்டது எனக்கு சிறந்த கற்றல் பயணமாக இருந்தது.மேலும் சிறந்த அனுபவத்தையும் அளித்தது.அடுத்த ஆண்டும் இதுபோல் ஒரு கற்றலில் ஈடுபட விரும்புகிறேன்.உதாரணத்திற்கு விளையாட்டுகள்,கலை வினைப் பொருட்களை தயாரித்தல் போன்ற நடவடிக்கைகளில் ஈடுபட விருப்பமாக உள்ளது

1.      In our lesson planning, we intentionally allow space for creativity. We establish clear expectations for our students and create collaborative opportunities to make learning authentic and meaningful.

2.      Working together as a team enables us to enjoy the fruits of learning collectively.

3.      Promotes collaborative learning, enabling students to learn from one another.

4.      Thoughtfully designed pre-workshop activities prepare our teachers to collaborate effectively as a team.

5.      We are continuing to collect feedback from teachers regarding the types of professional development workshops that will enhance their classroom teaching.

此次的烹饪课，指导老师只为我们提供了食谱及食材，并没有一步一步地带着我们烹饪每一道料理。由于我平日很少烹调西式餐点，所以一开始有点小紧张，生怕会做出一些“黑暗料理”。还好，母语部的老师们厨艺精湛，我从他们身上学到了很多很多。我发现虽然指导老师没带着我们做，但只要我紧跟食谱上的指示，用心摸索，不畏惧失败，美味的料理就这样诞生了！通过这次的活动，我明白到身为老师的我们应该鼓励学生走出舒适圈，保持开放心态，勇敢尝试新事物，沉浸在自我摸索的学习之中。
