         <title>It was the first meeting with grade one students. I was so excited to start talking with them. I already send them a video one week ahead to show them how to greet the teacher. so when the the meeting started I introduce my name and tell them that I will be their English teacher. Then I ask each one of them to introduce their names the same way I did. students were so active in this part of lesson because everyone wants to talk to others. Then I explained the rules that they should follow during the lessons. Also I mentioned that we have 3 English books with the notebook. I told students that in English writing we start writing from left side to right side. students applied that step in their skills book. they did the first two pages and the third one I give it as a homework.    </title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong><mark>I actually faced some problems, for example the video didn't work so I lose minutes of the lesson time in fixing the problem. Also in some parts of the lesson students cant see the words of the presentation clearly so next time I will make the font big enough. <br><br>Actually I have some mistakes in presenting that lesson so I will not give myself a medal but if I have the chance to do the lesson again with the same students I will make my presentation more fun and interesting. <br><br>After the lesson I hope my students have the ability to introduce themselves, follow the rules and write from left to right.</mark></strong>    </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>It is the third meeting with students. students in the lesson were more aware about what they should do through jolly phonics lesson.<br><br>I started the lesson with a quick review for previous sounds. I choose students randomly to answer. Then all students repeat the selected sound together. <br>I gave students words to read and they tried their best to read.<br><br>we started following the same steps for the new sounds. All students were excited in all steps that is actually save our time. <br>finally students wrote sounds in their booklets.<br>  </div>]]></description>

I asked them to open their camera and listen to me while saying a selected sound then they do the action. They were so happy because they see each other.<br><br>After the worm up activity, we started reading the story. then students named every things they can see in the story pictures. <br><br>Then, I started with saying the new sound n  and writing it.<br><br>Students did not find difficulties in writing n sound. they opened their camera to show me what they did.<br><br>we finished the lesson on time.     </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>In this lesson, students were exciting. I started the lesson with worm up activity. The worm up activity was a game. I selected 7 students to play and other students correct their answers. Students were so happy in this game.<br><br>Then we revise reading words together. Some students still need support with (i) sound.<br><br>After that I started with r sound. we followed jolly phonics steps, reading the story and writing the r sound.<br><br>The same thing with m sound. we followed the same steps.<br><br>Most students finished their writing and I asked others to complete their writing later.  <br><br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Senior English Teacher's Comment about the teacher work in the Synchronous Lesson and 5th self-reflection<br><br>Lesson (I &amp; P Sounds)<br></strong><br></div><div>The teacher talked about the steps of the lesson where she will start with the story of the new sound and the action of the sound followed by blending and segmenting then a song followed by letter formation <br><br></div><div>then the teacher made a revision of the previously learned sounds and the teacher pointed out that some of the students still need support with I sound <br><br></div><div>she introduced the new sound do students bye narrating the story off the new sound and the story where full of colorful pictures and the teacher used sounds werds which contain the new sound such as ink inky and so on <br><br></div><div>the teacher elicited what the students can see in the story and the students started naming some objects that they know there <br><br></div><div>the teacher provided a video demonstrating the pronunciation end the action of the new sound and it was easy to follow <br><br></div><div>then the teacher provided a blending activity where she demonstrated the way of blending words which contained the new sound like ink and Bing and these sound or words were illustrated by colorful pictures <br><br></div><div>then the teacher provided a segmenting activity where she demonstrated the way of segmenting words which contained the new sound as well <br><br></div><div>then the teacher provided a video demonstrating the way of the letter formation where the student should drive the letter on the four lines and this video was easy to follow how to write the letter step by step <br><br></div><div>then she asked students to practice writing the new sound <br><br></div><div>then the teacher moved to the second sound in the lesson where she followed the same steps that she used in the previous sound <br><br></div><div>The teacher pointed out that most of the students finished practicing the new sounds while others he asked them to do it later at home <br><br></div><div>then the teacher gave the students a homework at the end of the lesson to practice writing the new sounds <br><br></div><div>the teacher provided a colorful and after active materials for young learners to attract their attention to the new lesson <br><br></div><div>Video and actions do illustrate things during the lesson and he used colorful pictures to illustrate the meaning of the new words <br><br></div><div>she did a good job in demonstrating the activities during the lesson <br><br></div><div>he used PowerPoint and videos as well as recording of her sound when explaining things to students <br><br></div><div>it would be better if the teacher discussed the learning outcomes at the beginning of the lesson <br><br></div><div>The teacher reported that the students were excited during the warm up activity as he used a game where she included seven students as players and other students are helping them and correcting their answers <br><br></div><div>there is and noticeable improvement in the teacher technological and pedagogical skills.<br><br></div><div>the content of the lesson is well organized and the teacher is following almost all that synchronous lesson steps as instructed by the Ministry of Education <br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><br>The teacher sent the warm up video to the students as asynchronous activity to learn how to greet the teacher so when they come to the first lesson they will have an idea of how to greet others <br><br></div><div>The teacher welcomed her students to school online in distance e-learning and she started practicing with them how to greet each other by showing them a video of a role play of how to greet each other <br><br></div><div>then the teacher asked each student to introduce himself or herself same way as she did and they were excited and active in this part of the lesson as everyone wants to talk to the others <br><br></div><div>the teacher explained the synchronous lesson rules the students where she demonstrated these rules with attractive pictures to help them understand the meaning <br><br></div><div>she demonstrated the way of writing in English and she asked students to practice with her from left to right <br><br></div><div>she asked her students to open their skills book and she explained that they are going to trace the dots the provided shapes as when as coloring these shapes <br><br></div><div>she gave the students the time to practice this writing from left to right to get used to the way of writing in English <br><br></div><div>after that she introduced the main characters in grade one and ask students to watch the video of these characters when they are introducing themselves where she used chatterbox kid program to make these characters speaking to attract grade one attentions <br><br></div><div>then she provided flash cards and word cards of these characters and asked students to the beat the name of each character and then match the word with the picture <br><br></div><div>In her reflection, the teacher pointed out that she faced some problems during the first synchronous lesson as the video didn't work during the lesson and she lost some time trying to fix the problem <br><br></div><div>also she pointed out that some students couldn't see certain parts in the PowerPoint and she pointed out that she will more make the font bigger next time <br><br></div><div>the teacher pointed out that she will make her presentation more fun and interesting for the future plans <br><br></div><div> <br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Preparing My own electronic file is an amazing chance to have a new experience. The biggest and most important achievement for me is getting a real practice in how to make a professional electronic file. In that file I get new knowledges in how to analyze my lessons from different sides. </div><div><br></div><div>I’m really proud of myself because I created completed online jolly phonics lessons. I tried and did my best to cover all jolly phonics steps in one hour and not face to face with students.<br><br></div><div>If I have the chance again to repeat any part or activity, I will change the way of teaching letter formation. In jolly phonics lesson I created my own video to show students how to write the new sound in the four lines. It was a great idea because students like to see their teacher writing. But the problem is watching a video is a boring step for students. They don’t pay attention. So, its better to use a white board that is already in the Teams App. <br><br></div><div>Attending training sessions on e-preparation and the elements synchronous lesson helped me a lot to understand the steps that I have to follow. Also, it gives me a chance to share ideas and solutions that might face teachers. Another thing related to technology, is was a fantastic chance to acquire technical skills and develop my abilities in dealing with educational apps.  <br><br></div>]]></description>

         <title>It was the first meeting with grade one students. I was so excited to start talking with them. I already send them a video one week ahead to show them how to greet the teacher. so when the the meeting started I introduce my name and tell them that I will be their English teacher. Then I ask each one of them to introduce their names the same way I did. students were so active in this part of lesson because everyone wants to talk to others. Then I explained the rules that they should follow during the lessons. Also I mentioned that we have 3 English books with the notebook. I told students that in English writing we start writing from left side to right side. students applied that step in their skills book. they did the first two pages and the third one I give it as a homework. also I told them about charchters like Sami, Biff.</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong><mark>I actually faced some problems, for example the video didn't work so I lose minutes of the lesson time in fixing the problem. Also in some parts of the lesson students cant see the words of the presentation clearly so next time I will make the font big enough. <br>When students did write from left to write I feel this the high point and I am proud here because this task they can do in a sucsessful way. <br><br>I explained main characters in their book when they are introducing themselve using chatterbox kid app and students love it. But when we did the matching task the students didnt remember all of them and I think if I give more tasks they will remeber more so if I have the chance to do it again with the same students I will add them and I will add more electronic tasks. Also I will manage my time more and think more about my lesson steps and what is missing. also I will use chatterbox kid app more because young children love it and I think this is what they love in this lesson because it is like cartoon in TV. Also I will do plan B because you dont know what will happen with electronic apps. In writing from left to write I will keep the same stratgy I use here because they did it well. Also I will use the video and songs and TPR because it is very attractive of grade 1 children. Also I will make less use of arabic next class because I can see I used much here.<br><br>Actually I have some mistakes in presenting that lesson so I will not give myself a medal but if I have the chance to do the lesson again with the same students I will make my presentation more fun and interesting. <br><br>After the lesson I hope my students have the ability to introduce themselves, follow the rules and write from left to right.</mark></strong> &nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>It is the third meeting with students and second jolly phonics lesson. students in the lesson were more aware about what they should do through jolly phonics lesson.<br><br>I started the lesson with a quick review for previous sounds. I choose students randomly to answer. Then all students repeat the selected sound together.&nbsp;<br>I gave students words to read and they tried their best to read. and then we did segmenting but they didnt do it correctly.<br><br>we started following the same steps for the new sounds. students were excited. finally students wrote sounds in their booklets.<br><br>I am proud that I did manage my time more in the lesson more than the other lesson. and I planed more electronic tasks to practice sounds. I am proud that students were reading slowly even if only small words and also I see they are excited to read. Here I try to show them how to read step by step until finally blend the sounds and this happen because i show them and practice with them how we do it. but in segmenting actually students were not correctly doing it because they mix it with the way of blending and i can see i didnt give clear explanation of segmenting in first sound *n* also I need to let them do more tasks in segmenting so in the lesson I did clear explantion in segmenting in second sound *b* and students did better.<br><br>If I have chance to do it again I will give more clear explanation of segmenting and extra task. also I will keep the same way in blending because it works with my class. also I think students dont like much when every people in English names in storyies so I will use it with their names like Marawan. also I will&nbsp;use more technology in planing tasks.<br><br>No, I will not get medals because I need to improve more point in my lesson.&nbsp;<br><br><br><br><br><br>&nbsp;&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

I selected 7 students to play and other students correct their answers. Students were so happy in this game.<br><br>Then we revise reading words together.
