The attacks were blamed on the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL), a violent group. It was January 7th, 2015 when Islamist gunmen stormed the Paris magazine office Charlie Hebdo and killed 11 people. 48 hours later they murdered 6 more innocent lives. Paris spent around 850 million dollars for counter terrorism. On November 13 at 9:25 pm a team made up of gunmen drove while shooting people on the streets. Going to popular bars and restaurants killing 130 and wounding more than 350 people in a matter of minutes. Hollande (Hollande was president) called these attacks “an act of war”. There were raids across Paris and they increased bombing of ISIL targets inside Syria.

Hillary Clinton was the Democratic person and Donald Trump the Republican person. Hillary won around 2.8 million more votes than Trump but had only won 227 electoral votes compared to Trump's 307 electoral votes. Trump was an outsider and nobody thought he was going to win, Hillary on the other hand had more experience with politics.

After a long and powerful rule he was forced to resign in 2017 because of a lack of power. He was very old to be president. Five days later after Mugabe resigned his general Emmerson Mnagagawa became president. Mugabe died a few years later, in 2019. He was 95 when he died. He was Zimbabwe's second president.

In April 2018 President Trump ordered a ‘zero tolerance’ policy to immigrants, which angered people and separated families. 2,700 children were separated. Children died and were abused and in July President Trump tried to turn the ‘zero tolerance’ policy down and to reunite families. But still many families are still separated today.

China didn’t share the news with the world right away and didn’t close their airports. Because of this cases started escalating and covid became a global virus. The USA started getting more cases, international travel was shut down, and we’re still being affected by coronavirus to this day.
