Ovulation Induction Therapy - An Introduction

Dr. Peyman Saadat, a leading fertility physician, cares for patients Reproductive Fertility Center in Los Angeles. There, Dr. Peyman Saadat, Medical Director, and his colleagues offer ovulation induction therapy to patients with certain fertility challenges.

Using either oral or injectable medication, including hormones, ovulation induction therapy can help a woman produce multiple eggs. Some patients will respond well to a medication that blocks estrogen receptors, while others experience better results with a follicle-stimulating hormone or a luteinizing hormone that encourages egg development. Typically a woman produces one egg per month. With ovulation induction therapy, a woman may produce multiple eggs, giving a much greater chance of a successful outcome, either through IUI (intra-uterine insemination) or IVF (in-vitro fertilization).

Dr. Peyman Saadat has successfully used ovulation induction therapy for years, and his success rate speaks for itself. Reproductive Fertility Center, under the leadership of Dr. Peyman Saadat, continues to have one of the highest success rates in the country.

Egg Freezing as a Method of Preserving Fertility

Dr. Peyman Saadat serves as head of the Reproductive Fertility Center (RFC) in Southern California. RFC offers whole-patient fertility treatments for both men and women. Among the services Dr. Peyman Saadat and his team offer are in vitro fertilization, gamete intra-fallopian transfer, egg donor ivf cycles, gender selection/pre-implantation genetic screening and oocyte/egg freezing.

The latter option is designed to preserve the fertility of women who for a variety of reasons,(including medical, personal, school or career), may need or choose to postpone starting a family. The process of egg freezing begins with stimulating the ovaries to produce multiple eggs. The eggs are retrieved when mature and then cryopreserved and frozen.

When the time is right for the women, she can then return to Dr. Peyman Saadat for treatment which includes ICSI (intracytoplasmic sperm injection) to fertilize the egg (s), and then a transfer of the resultant embryo.

Fertility Treatments - Ovulation Induction Therapy

Dr. Peyman Saadat, a fertility doctor, provides fertility treatments to patients of the Reproductive Fertility Center in West Hollywood, California. Through his practice, Dr. Peyman Saadat performs cutting edge fertility treatments, including ovulation induction therapy (OIT).

When patients undergo OIT, it means they take hormonal drugs that cause the ovaries to develop and release eggs. Sometimes, women do not conceive because their ovaries are not producing eggs or are producing them on an irregular basis.

In fact, modern OIT drugs can cause ovaries to produce more than one viable egg, greatly increasing the chance of conception. Further, research suggests that even women with functioning ovaries may benefit from fertility treatments like OIT. Often, these women have fertility problems of unknown origin, and some doctors believe that such fertility problems may arise from very subtle ovulation issues that OIT can address.

The medications Dr. Peyman Saadat may prescribe during OIT include oral drugs like tamoxifen and Clomid and injectable drugs containing follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH).

For more information about OIT, prospective patients can visit the Reproductive Fertility Center website at www.reproductivefertility.com.
