“The pigment eumelanin makes skin darker, which helps protect against harsh sunlight. But too much eumelanin can make it hard for the body to produce vitamin D, which is needed to build healthy bones. So over many thousands of years, human populations evolved varying levels of skin pigmentation as they spread across the globe, with natural selection balancing the cost of having too much eumelanin (which can indirectly cause bone deformities) versus having too little (which can lead to cancer and birth defects). As a result, skin color came to closely match the intensity of sunlight in different regions — darker near the equator and lighter near the poles.”

Humans would diverge to many environments that receive varying amounts of sunlight. Because of this, depending on what environment contains the most sunlight may affect the trait frequency of the human melanin production whereas if one environment contains a lot of sunlight, the skin would absorb it a lot causing high levels of melanin production which leads the skin pigment to darken. If an environment receives less sunlight, this would cause the melanin production to go at a normal or slower pace making the skin lighter. With this keeping in mind that melanin also works to protect the human body from the harmful UV rays so if the melanin repeatedly protects the human, it will end up making more melanin.

Every environment will have different climates of which can hold many kinds of diseases. Depending on where a human is living would over time strengthen their immune system as they are exposed to a disease native to the environment of which would train the immune systems to build resistance to the disease. This same trait can sometimes be passed down to the offspring to have them have the immune system (mind you not all the time).

Over time, climate can change within an environment very dramatically enough to change the overall traits of the environment. Because of this, humans over time were forced to think and problem solve as they would navigate the changing environments and adjust to them. Because of this, the more thinking and thought processing they do will strengthen the brain and therefore enlargen it because of the fact they use it more. More specifically, when they strengthen and enlargen the brain, they are specifically enlarging the neocortex of the brain which mainly takes care of the thought process.
