         <description><![CDATA[<p>[System and Network Security] In my personal workplace tattoos are perfectly fine. I think the only kind of tattoo that would make employers not want to hire you is like a large amount of ink on your arms, face, neck ETC.</p>]]></description>

I don't think this is a big deal in my work environment because it is more of a blue-collar job, so basically everything goes, and people don't really care what you look like because you are dirty all the time anyway. </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Piercings : In my program (Surgical Technology) there are no piercings allowed. It is like that in most healthcare workplace settings as well. It makes sense to me for the most part. Piercings can end up falling out causing contamination in certain areas. We are allowed 1 pair of studded earrings for example but not really a whole lot past that. </p><p><br/></p>]]></description>

However I do agree with the author that graphicly sexual or violent tattoos may need to be covered. As well as peircings and jewlery not being allowed in certain environments. This of course depends in what field of work you are in.</p>]]></description>

You often see parents and work with professionals, and having an inappropriate tattoo isn't a reassuring sight when you are in childcare. </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>(Electrician) On a jobsite, I see a majority of people with tattoos and I've never seen it as a big deal or anything like that. When having an interview for my job, having tattoos were never brought up in a "dress code." The only way i'd see tattoos as a problem is having your whole face covered in them, and then some might say thats unprofessional. </p>]]></description>

With this career though, you should not have any inappropriate, offensive, or discriminatory tattoos. Certain tattoos, like those on the face, are also not allowed.
