I'm in automotive, and I am choosing to write about tattoos. I don't think this is a big deal in my work environment because it is more of a blue-collar job, so basically everything goes, and people don't really care what you look like because you are dirty all the time anyway.

Face tattoos is a no no in my work place and depending on the size of tattoo or type of tattoos, it can also prevent you from working in healthcare

Tattoos are fine in my workplace as long as they are not offensive or depict scenes of violence or sex.

Tattoos are fine some piercings might not be acceptable due to certain machines i guess

as for dyed hair depending on the style you might or might not get clowned

In my program tattoos are acceptable. Working as a technician your not talking to customers who may have a different veiw on tattoos, and as long as the person hiring you dosen't have anything against them.

I have noticed the shift in tattoos and peircings being more acceptable. However I do agree with the author that graphicly sexual or violent tattoos may need to be covered. As well as peircings and jewlery not being allowed in certain environments. This of course depends in what field of work you are in.

I know that for my career, tattoos should be covered up. If it is showing, it should be appropriate. You often see parents and work with professionals, and having an inappropriate tattoo isn't a reassuring sight when you are in childcare.

Systems and Network Security

I feel that the standard for tattoos my future career is fine and it does seem like the standard of keeping tattoos covered has sort of loosened up a bit over the years. So long as your tattoos aren't too sexual I think having tatoos on the forearms would befine.

I'm in automotive, and i'm writing about tattoos. In my personal workplace tattoos are ok just don't make them everywhere to where people that you work with are always distracted because you keep getting new tattoos all the time.

In automotive technology face tattoos are not allowed. Certian tattoos that dont show any inapproprate meanings or sayings are not allowed either.

I think tattoos, piercings, and dyed hair do not affect a person's skills or knowledge. What matters most is safety, good work. As long as someone follows safety rules and does qualify work, their personal stype should not be a problem.
