The SMART displays have become computers now. They have the Microsoft Office suite, YouTube, Zoom, and more. Users do not need a laptop or device to use them. They can bring their presentations on a jump drive or access them from a website or the cloud. As a user, consider installing it on a rolling stand rather than mounting it to be able to move it around the classroom or outside of the classroom. Also, familiarize yourself with SMART Notebook and SMART Ink. This is not just a monitor, it is meant to be used interactively!

Using this table allows students to apply their science curricula to a real scenario or career. It is innovative and engaging. It is easy to use.

The content lets students interact with body systems in 3D. Plus, the data they compile can be accessed at school or from home.

With all the amenities and benefits of the Anatomage table, it does require more space in the classroom and needs space around it for users. Due to the cost of this tool, our campus only has one. Sometimes, this limits access for both classes and lessons must be extended to be sure all learners experience and use the features of it.

It is priced at $1,050 to $2000 and it allows environments to be captured in the hybrid space. It rotates 360 degrees and is plug and play.

Uses in education include virtual classrooms, for National Board recordings, parent teacher conferences, or interactive / hands on demonstrations like CPR.

The Owl can accommodate multiple speakers in the room and can be used wirelessly with an app.

It should be placed 6-7 feet above the ground and in the center of the room. It doesn’t require any drivers or software to be installed on computer. Plus, you can pair two Owls in large spaces.

ClassDojo connects parents to the classroom and teachers. It also helps students build a growth mindset and empathy. The organization markets it as a place to share photos, videos, and updates on a private feed for parents. Automatic reminders and the school event calendar can be accessed. Teachers and families can "collaborate to support social-emotional learning with Points and Big Ideas." Plus, students can create their own portfolio's and capture their daily classroom "magic."

A coworker uses ClassDojo at his 3rd graders school and likes the instant communication and easy access to the goings on at the school.

The feature that I like is that all messages can be translated into 35 languages automatically. At many of our sending schools, the Hispanic student population has increased to 60% or more and our faculty has 1 bilingual teacher, 1 bilingual counselor, and two bilingual staff in student services to assist 1561 students and their parents or guardians.

Reviews of ClassDojo include a common disadvantage. Points can be given or deducted for good or bad behavior. This can cause bragging among students and parents.

The absence and time management is quite user friendly. We are able to manipulate time and approve leave, but the email notification that reminds us to do so is priceless.

The recruiting, hiring, and professional growth navigation is not as easy. For me, it is because I do not hire often and only update professional growth twice a year.

This product "empowers organizations to view, record, and manage video data." It allows access to surveillance cameras and access control systems. Our campus security uses and monitors sites with this platform.

It is easy to use and it can be managed centrally. It is "built with an open architecture" and it "can be integrated with thousands of cameras."

Plus, the ability to access and view cameras online make using the product easy and seamless.

As a user of this product, it saves me time and steps in the conference center. One setback has been the inability to replay and rewind video. This feature is not active for directors. Another limitation is not being able to use the app version because VPN'ing into our network via this platform is not allowed on our personal cell phones.

EventPro has two levels of users. There are admin users who can reserve space, add resources, invoice, and build reports. The second level is a web user. This user can see available spaces and can request space. Admin users is finite. Web users are unlimited.

This software is browser based and cloud supported. It is password protected and requires a client install on admin user devices. There is a conflict checker and payment tracker.

Another favorable feature is the resource, equipment, and staffing assignment ability. For example, if an extracurricular activity is scheduled for the school gym, EventPro allows the facilitators to schedule extra tables or chairs, trash cans, and/or staff or security officers.

On busy days, the software slows a bit but the information remains accurate and in real time. To use the software to its' fullest, all spaces, including parking lots, should be entered to get an accurate report on building use. This report would also reveal opportunities for stakeholders and community partners to use space as well.
