         <description><![CDATA[<div>The majority of my students are millennials.&nbsp; They are observed using phones and other technologies for their personal use in communication, academic support and entertainment. Every one of my students now has a cellular phone.&nbsp; Many have laptop computers that they bring to class.&nbsp; They text message me and each other.&nbsp; They easily use nationally-known search engines and on-line encyclopedias. Social media is used for large percentages of their communication.Yet, I perceive a resistance in their use of technology in the classroom and for academic support. Are they just being "contrary"? &nbsp;<strong>What are their learning preferences?</strong></div>]]></description>
