There has been a big change between how I felt starting off the school year and how I feel now. At the beginning of the year, I was nervous about how the year would go. I was also more shy and didn't really get along with others. After the time passes, I became more confident, social, and this led to me making great memories. Ive grown both academically and personally throughout the school year.

Describe a project, topic, or assignment you're especially proud of.

One assignment I’m really proud of is the “Archetypes Hero’s Journey Story.” My partner and I put a lot of time and energy into it, and it honestly felt like a project we truly cared about. We made sure every part of the story made sense and followed the hero’s journey in a fun and creative way. When we finished, it felt great to look at our work and see how much effort we put in. It was one of those times where the hard work really paid off.

Antigone is a story about a girl who wants to do the right thing for her brother. The king says no, but she does it anyway. This causes a big problem between her and the king. The story is sad but shows how brave she is. It makes you think about doing what’s right, even when it’s hard. Quote: "There is no guilt in reverence for the dead."This line shows how Antigone believes she is doing the right thing by honoring her brother, even if it goes against the law.

Reflect on a personal or academic challenge.

Getting ready for end-of-year exams was really stressful. There was so much to study, and I felt like I couldn’t keep up. I stayed up late most nights and felt super tired and worried all the time. Some days I just wanted to give up. What helped was taking small breaks, doing one thing at a time, and reminding myself that trying my best was okay.

Reflect on your hopes for junior year and beyond.

Next year, I want to do better in school and grow as a person. I hope to stay more organized, try harder classes, and use my time better. I also want to join more clubs or volunteer to do things that matter to me. I know I need to start thinking about college and what I want to do in the future. Most of all, I just want to believe in myself more and keep moving forward.

A poem that inspired me this year was, "Still I Try." This poem showed up on my instagram one day and I'm not much of a reading person but it caught my attention. This poem is inspiring because it shows that even on hard days, trying your best is enough. It reminds us not to give up, even when things feel tough.
