King Louis was the very last king in France before the monarchy system failed. On January 21, 1793, King Louis was killed by a guillotine for treason. King Louis was charged with treason because he had tried to run away and abandon his people, but the king was caught. King Louis was connected to the French revolution because he was the one that Approved support funds for the Americans that were fighting for independence against the British. But what King Louis had really done by supporting the colonies is make France go bankrupt.

Long Term Effects: Caused a revolution in France changing their system forever.
