Most of them started as peaceful protests but the endings were not very peaceful.       • The Salt March had a very violent response.
        • Many arrests, many beatings.
      • The online protest, racism in soccer, had no violent response, instead there was a quick response from big social media companies.

    There is usually a pattern when protest take the protest/march to the streets, it is only to a point where they call only call it peaceful.     There were financial motives at play in both. 
    Both started peaceful but the other side initiated violence, and some killings. 
    They both succeeded because they were in the right, and they both had a large percentage of the population protesting for change. That large portion of the population had influence in that they could go on strike, or quit their jobs. 
    Both ended with good change for the protesters, in that they received equality by law.

  • The smaller problem of the uniforms got an answer right away, whereas the bigger topic on racial abuse is still yet to be fully solved.
  • What that means is that online racism is a big topic, and it is much harder for social media companies to change that in a split second, or in a matter of a few days or weeks. And racism online and on the soccer pitch is still evident till this day.
