When I was in 4th grade we had a great reading activity that I really loved. We would all take a field trip downstairs to read with the 3rd graders. We were paired up with a buddy to read with and we would always have that same buddy. I remember loving this. I felt like I was doing something good by helping another person to read. It also helped me recognize common reading errors. It helped me want to be a better reader so I could help other people read better.

We would read for a certain amount of time and then we would talk about what we remembered from the reading to test our comprehension.
